Dr. William Connor Primary School to host Ms. Sports Personality and Calypso Show

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – EIGHT young beauties of the Dr. William Connor Primary School will be vying for the institution’s Ms. Sports Personality title along with eight calypsonians who will be competing for the school’s crown.

     

     

     

     

     

    The event is slated for Friday, December 10 from 7:30 p.m. at the school grounds and the contestants are Ms. Basketball Kachiqua Williams, Ms. Football Eurecia Foster, Ms. Track and Field T’Quani Weekes, Ms. Volleyball Asmara Chiverton, Ms. Golf Dalexia Hobson, Ms. Netball Janeska Liburd, Ms. Cricket Toshiorna Millington and Ms. Tennis Shadisha Davis.

     

     

     

     

     

    And the young calypsonians are Jahnia ‘Lady Niah’ Roach, Kalianna ‘Lady Kaly’ De Suza, Alexia ‘De Messenger’ Hobson, Travien ‘Singing Woodley’ Liddie, Tashorn ‘Mighty Tashorn’ Herbert, Dejon ‘Little Rick’ Carty, Shane ‘Mighty Quinn’ Clarke, and Iquanja Bradley as Singing Quanni.

     

     

     

     

     

    The contestants for Ms. Sports Personality will compete in three segments - Introductory Speech, Talent and Youthful Evening Wear.

     

     

     

     

     

    According to one of the organisers, Jessica Jeffers, the young beauties would appear in their creative sports wear in the Introductory Speech segment.

     

     

     

     

     

    She said the event, which is only $15 for adults and $10 for children, would feature many exciting guest artistes including Hot Rod, Okolo Rising Stars, S.P.L.A.S.H, Lala and Grand Masters as the house band.

     

     

     

     

     

    Last year saw Ms. Golf, Aniqua Walters, taking the title while Lequan De Suza, whose calypso name was De Educator, took the calypso crown singing ‘Round and Round the Chin Chin Bar’.
