Press Release

The Masters Parish league will continue tonight with a very crucial game for the St.George’s team as they match their skills against the powerful St.Paul’s line up.
The St.Paul’s team is sitting pretty, already assured of a semi final spot, having secured three victories from their three matches so far.

St.George’s on the other hand has only one point after two matches.  They lost in a close encounter versus St.Thomas’ and watched from the pavilion as rain washed out their second scheduled encounter.

To win this one, the St.George’s men will have to get past the likes of Stuart Williams; Merlin Liburd; Carl Tuckett and the dependable Donovan Matthew in a strong batting line up and then survive the aggressive Elroy Jimbo David and the wicket taking Mikey Williams who is one of the leading wicket takers so far.

St.George’s for their part would be looking for early wickets from their three prong pace attack in John ‘The Dentist’ Maynard; Charles ‘Yellowman’ Hendrickson and Franklyn ‘Kut’ Daniel. In the batting, their hopes will lie on the experienced Earl Rawlins; Junior ‘Duncan’ Mills; Elijah Browne and Curtis Morton Sr.

Whatever the end result, the spectators are predictably in for a treat.
