Nu Vybes Band releases 2010 album

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AFTER months of waiting, the Nu Vybes Band International released their much-anticipated album on Monday night (Dec. 6) with Sweet Sister Sensia on Freedom FM.

     

     

     

     

     

    Many fans were hyped up as ‘word of mouth’ and Blackberry messages spread like wildfire on Friday (Dec. 3) that the band would make its official release on Monday, December 6.

     

     

     

     

     

    The album, titled ‘Blood Sweat and Tears’, features 12 tracks, 11 of which were written and performed by the band’s lead vocalist, Gregory ‘Mention’ Hobson. Track number three, titled ‘Till Ah Morning’, was written and performed by Jason ‘KT’ Jacobs.

     

     

     

     

     

    Members of the band described the album as one of real music and versatility.

     

     

     

     

     

    Some of the more popular tracks include ‘Fourth Quarter’, ‘Flip Motion’, ‘My Sound’, ‘Sugar Mas’ and ‘Criteria’,  which originated from the famous chant ‘Road March out a style’.

     

     

     

     

     

    The band underwent some changes throughout the year, which resulted in some members leaving and one new face being added.

     

     

     

     

     

    The current members are lead vocalist Gregory ‘Mention’ Hobson, Lerone ‘Lomax’ McIntosh - base, Paul ‘Pablo’ Queeley – guitarist, Daron ‘Yo Miller’ Thomas - keyboardist, Kirk ‘Errol’ Richards – drummer, and the newly-added vocalist Jason ‘KT’ Jacobs.
