Press Release

Despite the best efforts of experienced groundsman Errol ‘Jabal’ Walwyn, the pitch at the Ramsbury grounds was deemed too dangerous for play, yesterday and this forced a postponement in the first semi final encounter in the Masters Parish league.

The match was set to feature the unbeaten St.Paul’s team and fourth placed St.John’s.

Chief organizer Curtis Morton met mid pitch with the umpires and the two captains and it was determined that the pitch was too soft, which could result in balls popping dangerously for the batsmen. Additionally, electricity was off in the area as NEVLEC was involved in major works.

The plan now is that weather permitting, the final three matches in the series will be played next week as follows:

Tuesday fourteenth December—semi final one: St.Thomas’ v St. James’
    Wednesday 15th December—semi final two: ST.Paul’s v St.John’s
Thursday sixteenth December—FINALS: Winners of the two semi finals.
