BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 11TH 2006 - Chairman of the ruling St.
Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris has congratulated the Nevis Reformation Party on its victory at the polls in the Nevis Island Administration local elections on Monday.
"Your personal victory in your constituency was always assured, but the valiant fight and successful outcomes by Messrs Robelto Hector and Hensley Daniel, made it possible for the NRP to form the Government," said Harris in his congratulatory message to Premier Joseph Parry in his capacity as the Political Leader of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP).
"We wish you well as your Party assumes the mantle of leadership and begins to deliver on your mandate," said the Labour Party chairman.
The opposition NRP won three of the five seats in the Nevis Island Assembly.
Parry was sworn in on Tuesday afternoon as Premier after the NRP ousted the Concerned Citizens Movement of incumbent Premier Hon. Vance Amory.
