BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE inaugural staging of the ‘Best of the Best’ Concert held Saturday (Dec. 11) at Carnival Village received high praises from many persons who attended the event.

The Guinness Evolution Family-organised event attracted 20 of the Federation’s best artistes.

According to one young man, he thinks that the show was properly organised and he has been looking forward to it for some weeks.

Another man said he really enjoyed the show. “All of the artistes did a great job and I am looking forward to seeing more shows like this where we support our own,” he added.

Some of the performances those done by Footsy, Silk, Minister LK, King Astro and the Kassanova Band out of Nevis, Ras Khaleed and Nicha B.

Soca sensation Shakki also performed and made a grand entrance on a Motocycle and had several other bikers parade through the crowd and also on the stage.

The crowd also seemed to enjoy the performances of King Konris and C-Money, who are both in the run for the 2010 Sugar Mas Soca Monarch title. They performed their competing songs and had much participation from the audience who jumped and gyrated in the process.

One young man, who goes by the name ‘Hotter Lyrics’ and who was not part of the night’s lineup, begged to perform one song of which was granted and he had the crowd cheering and going wild with his ‘So, so or so’ rendition.

Infamus was the last artiste to perform and he was followed by the Nu Vybes Band International, whose members wasted no time in belting out some of their 2010 tracks, giving the crowd the pep they have been waiting for.

The show was hosted by Sugar Bowl and Sweet Sister Sensia, who both kept the crowd fully entertained throughout the night.

According to Yusef Connor, a member of Guinness Evolution, he and his team were very pleased with the turnout of the event and they are looking forward to making it an annual one. He also used the opportunity to thank the many sponsors who came onboard as well as those who attended the show.
