TEXAS,WICHITA FALLS, December 12, 2010. It was celebration time for eight high achievers from St. Kitts and Nevis who graduated from Midwestern State University in Texas on Saturday, December 11 with Bachelors degrees at a ceremony filled with glamour and splendor held at the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
The graduates from St. Kitt and Nevis who received their bachelors degrees were Mahadai Liburd(Accounting and Finance), Miriam Ngunjiri (Accounting), Abijah Isaac(Management Information Systems), Le-Juan I Liburd(Management and Finance), Gale O Jeffers(Management and Spanish), Shevon Jeffers(Accounting) and Dwayne E. Rawlins (Major in Mechanical Engineering and Chemisty and a minor in Mathematics), Denrick L. Jeffers(Major in Environmental studies and a minor in Biology) and Domina Hamilton (Accounting and Finance)
Miriam Ngunjiri originally from Kenyan graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and also received the President’s Medal for Excellence while Dwayne Rawlin graduated with Cum Laude honors.
The President’s Medal for Excellence is awarded to the honor graduate in each of the six academic colleges namely Business Administration, Education, Fine Arts, Health Sciences and Human Services, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Mathematics who has earned the highest grade point average among those students receiving the bachelors degree in August and December 2010.
