Press Release

Even though the sun shone through brightly at 3 pm yesterday afternoon, the pitch at the Ramsbury grounds remained wet and soft and the run up at both ends looked even worst for wear.

A frustrated organizer of the league, Curtis Morton, acting on the advice of chief curator Errol ‘Jabal’ Walwyn, was forced to hastily sent the message of another postponement of the game.

Morton is now indicating that the league will be completed next week, come rain or shine and a winner will be determined even if a run rate system has to be utilized.

For now, St.Thomas’ is scheduled to play against St.James’ at 5pm today and the other semi final encounter between St.Paul’s and St. John’s is now rescheduled to Tuesday 21st December.

The grand final is now set for Wednesday 22nd December with Thursday 23rd December as an alternative day.

It is hoped however, that fair weather will prevail and that the ultimate winner will be decided based on actual on the field play.
