Chief Coordinator of the ongoing Malcolm Guishard Basketball league, Wanda Parry has informed that the semi final encounters in the league which commenced on Wednesday sixteenth December will be determined from the ‘best of three’ matches.
On Wednesday evening PJ’s just barely got the better of Ghetto Starz with a score line of fifty to forty-five.
Champions CG Rebels trailed CG Massives in the first quarter but bounced back to take the match sixty-two to fifty-two.
Tomorrow evening- Saturday 18th December, starting at six-thirty pm the same teams will engage each other again.
In match one, PJ’s will take on Ghetto Starz. If PJ’s wins again they will qualify for the finals. A win for Ghetto Starz would force a third match.
The second game will feature champions CG Rebels and a determined CG Massives team. If CG Rebels wins they would qualify for the finals for the umpteenth time. However a win for CG Massives will force a third game and the CG Massives are indicating that there will indeed be a third game.
The semi finals are currently being played at the Grell-Hull/Stevens Netball complex and the finals which well be a best of five series will also be played at the same venue.
