BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IT was a lovely evening of great fashion, delicious finger food, wonderful wine and cocktail when the Xpress Events-hosted Fashion At Sunset was held at Palm Court Gardens in Fortlands on Sunday, December 19.

The event featured models from the Movado Model Agency showcasing designs from local designers Island Hopper, Brown Sugar and O Me Monkey. They also showcased various swimsuit styles.

The fashion segment, which began after 6:00 p.m., was coordinated by Movado Model Agency’s CEO and Runway trainer Jason Amory.

Patrons were blown away by the breathtaking venue, where the models strutted around an infinity pool with lovely lighting and soft music that added to the ambience and setting.

The designs were trendy, fashionable pieces that were great for the tropical weather.

The ‘O Me Moneky’ line, which is also a popular Kittitian expression, is a casual clothing line by Reggie Amory. This clothing line featured a variety of T-Shirts, shorts, hooded sweaters, bags and hats that were modelled at the event.

Brown Sugar, the Federation’s leading fashion house, showcased its timeless linen pieces of white, colour block and earth tone dresses.

Island Hopper has improved greatly over the years with their designs, proving that they are not just a ‘tourist store’ but offers styles for locals.

After the fashion segment, patrons were entertained by the KC5 Band that performed a variety of songs, including Reggae, Soca and alternative music, while enjoying delicious finger foods by Bobsy’s Bar and Grill as well as various signature drinks and cocktails.

The night ended with a surprise performance by the recently-crowned Soca Monarch, King Konris, who performed his hit song ‘Unstoppable Force’ to an excited and appreciative audience.
