The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is seeking the general public assistance in their investigations of a shooting incident that occurred in the St. Johnson Village area. At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Monday 17th July 2006 officers responded to a report made and found a twenty-three (23) year old male adult of the said area at the JNF hospital being treated for a gunshot wound. The victim was detained at the hospital though he was not listed as being in critical condition.
Investigations are ongoing and any person with information relevant to the investigation of the incident should contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241, extension 236 or 466-8351 and can do so anonymously.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is seeking the general public's assistance in apprehending Wycliffe Liburd of Cedar Grove Development. An arrest warrant is presently in existence for Liburd in connection to a brutal Rape that took place in the Basseterre area on Monday 10th July 2006. Liburd is dark in complexion; approximately 5'-10', medium build, with black hair, a round faced, and brown eyes.
Any person with information as to the whereabouts of Liburd should contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241, extension 236 or 466-8351 and can do so anonymously.
The following persons heard their sentences at the Basseterre High Court on Monday 17th July 2006 after having been convicted earlier during the course of the Criminal Assizes:
·James Walwyn and Shahedi Thomas both of St. Johnson Village who were indicted on a charge of Robbery committed on 27th July 2005 at the Sugar Bay Club were sentenced to serve eighteen (18) months and three (3) years imprisonment respectively, both with hard labour.
~~Adz:Left~~ ·Crispin Prentice of East Street, Newtown who was indicted on a charged of Murder committed on 27th June 2004 at Warner Park was sentenced to serve twenty-five (25) years imprisonment with hard labour.
·Chad Depusoir of Boyds Village who was indicted on a charged of Wounding with Intent committed on 19th October 2005 at Garveys Estate was sentenced to serve five (5) years imprisonment with hard labour.
The sentence of Travis Duporte of PhillipsVillage, who was indicted on a charged of Murder committed on 28th June 2004 at Sandown Road, was reserved until 20th July 2006.
