Rotary Club of Liamuiga President’s Christmas Message

Eustace Warner
Rotary Club of Liamuiga Press Release

Basseterre, St Kitts (25 December 2010)  - As we celebrate the Birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I wish on behalf of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga to extend warm greetings to all.  For some, it is a time of reflection of the year past and for others, a time of looking forward to another year, a year of possibilities.

We must reflect and think of those who have no place to lay their head, no food to eat, no one to love them, we must be thankful for what we have no matter how small. While we give thanks, let us be our brothers/sisters keeper;  let us find it within our hearts to share a little love and compassion with those who are not as fortunate as we might be. One small gesture will lift someone who is feeling down and all alone, a smile, a plate of food, a handshake.

We are also at this time celebrating Carnival, may we celebrate with decorum, with respect for oneself and others. Enjoy yourselves and most importantly let us have a Carnival free from any form of violence.

To you and your families, I wish that the Peace and Blessings of God be with you throughout this Christmas Season and throughout the New Year, 2011.

I leave you with these words from Matthew 5 verse 16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and Glorify your Father in Heaven”.
