    There were Forty -Three young men and 10 females from St. Kitts and Nevis that completed a short but intense training camp for the St. Kitts - Nevis Cadet Corp.
     
    The youngest was a 10 year old; seventeen participants of the forty-three came from Nevis. The course lasted from 8th-15th of July 2006.
     
    St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, Lieutenant Kayode Sutton, Commanding officer for the corp stated to SKNIS that the course was held to consolidate the training practice in St.Kitts as well as Nevis. 

    He added that it will also serve as a recruitment tool to gain new members of the rank.
     
    Out of all the values that were imparted to the participants, discipline was the most important one.
     
    The camp commenced with a Church service. The Cadets also participated in a number of community projects such as painting the bathroom at the St. Pauls Primary school where the training was held.
     
    The camp was facilitated by 8 drill instructors. Sun Island clothes, Builders Paradise and Island Auto Supply contributed to this camp training.
