BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHO will take the crown tonight (Dec. 29) at the LIME Senior Monarch Competition slated for the Sugar Mill? Will it be King Pungwa, Mighty Kinta, Stitch in Time, Queen Anastasia, King Astro, I-Soursop or Singing Jackie?  Or will King Socrates retain it?

All of the contestants have good pieces that can appeal to the patrons. However, the judges’ decision is final, and one can only agree or disagree with their decision if one is present to witness this musical battle that include a father and daughter competing against each other.

The show will see the return of Calypso Reggie as the master of Ceremonies and it is scheduled to commence at 8:00 p.m. There will be two rounds for the night and each calypsonian has to perform two songs.

The order of appearance for the first round will be King Pungwa, King Socrates, Mighty Kinta, Stitch in Time, Queen Anastasia, King Astro, I-Soursop and Singing Jackie; while the second round will see Stitch in Time appearing first, and he will be followed by Mighty Kinta, I-Soursop, King Astro, Singing Jackie, King Socrates, Queen Anastasia and King Pungwa.
