Sportscaster Curtis Morton made it his business yesterday to travel to the Elquemedo Willet Park to apologize to star athlete Renika Daniel and her Mom for erroneously posting the wrong photo for the athlete alongside the story of her recent achievement as Nevis’ female athlete of the year 2010.
Morton indicated that it was a genuine error and the athlete and her Mom graciously accepted the apology. Some of Renika’s achievements for 2010 included:
Victrix Ludorum at CSS Sports
High School championship in St.Kitts—Class champion
Leeward Islands track and field meet in Anguilla—Under fifteen class champion:
1st in the four hundred meters; 1st in the long jump and 2nd in the 200 meters
CUT games—2nd in the four hundred and got a medal in the relays.
