BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - “THIS is very timely and I am really happy,” were the words of Digicel’s employee Denise Browne who won the COURTS “All You Want for Christmas” final draw.

The six-week promotion began on November 13, 2010 and ended on Friday, January 7, 2011.

According COURTS Marketing Officer Theresia Pemberton, customers who were eligible to be part of the promotion had to purchase any item from Courts valued at EC$499 and over. This, she said, allowed the individual an opportunity to have his/her name placed into the draw.

She noted that each week three persons names were drawn allowing one to win EC$4 000 and the other two won different prizes.

Pemberton said the response was overwhelming, noting that the public was very excited over the conduct of the promotion and the prizes that were offered.

“We decided that rather to give one person all the monies it was better to spread it around by allowing each week one lucky customer to win $4 000. We at Courts recognised that in this way it meant that more persons would benefit from what we had to offer,” she said.

She pointed out that the promotion was geared towards allowing persons to garner whatever they wanted for Christmas, adding that many persons were able to get what they wanted for the season owing to her company’s willingness to offer easy credit terms.

“At COURTS we ensured that the public was able to get all they wanted for Christmas, and we trust that the public will continue supporting us as we intend to maintain offering affordable prices and good service,” she said.

The three lucky customers whose names were announced at the final draw are Denise Browne, Travayne Reid and Troy Pemberton. They each pulled a case that contained various prizes, and  on opening it Browne won EC$ 4 000 while Reid won a 5’7” area rug and Pemberton won EC$500 worth of shopping from RAMS Trading Limited.

Declaring how she felt on winning the cash prize, Browne said, “I am very excited right now and I was confident that I was going to win. I do all my shopping here and will continue to shop at IOURTS, as they offer good value and price.”

Browne admitted that it was the first time that she has ever won any prize at such events and it has motivated her to continue getting involved.

“This money has come in at the right time and I can tell you that it would be well spent,” she added.
