Police Press Release

    Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force today, Thursday 20th July 2006, recovered a twelve gauge shotgun in the Shadwell Olivees area. No one was arrested in connection to the find and investigations are ongoing.

     

     

     

     

     

    At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 19th July 2006,

     

    ·         Jermaine Brookes of Parrays Village who was charged with the offence of "Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm" had his charge reduced by the Magistrate Her Worship Mrs. Mallilieu Webbe. The magistrate determined that the charge had not been proved however the lesser charges of "Assault" and "Battery" were proved. He was subsequently convicted and fined $1,500.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default serve (2) months imprisonment.

     

     

     

    ~~Adz:Right~~·         Trevor Primus of Fry's Village who was charged with the offences of "Threatening Language" and "Indecent Assault" was convicted of both charges. Primus was placed on a bond for twelve (12) months to keep the peace, to be of good behaviour and to keep away from the complainant in the case. Failing to comply with these terms Primus would return to the court for sentencing.
