BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ZIONSHAW JOSEPH will soon be relieved of her duties as Miss Back 2 Roots as the staging of the 2011 Pageant is scheduled for March 12.

The Miss Back 2 Roots is a fund-raising event organised by the History Club of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.

The pageant is normally held in February, the same month in which Black History is celebrated. However, because of a clash with another important event on the date for which it was initially planned, the committee decided that the pageant would be held in March, according to one of the organisers.

Although all the names for the contestants have not yet been confirmed, they are looking at six young beauties who will educate patrons on a historical topic.

The contestants will be competing in four judged segments - Introductory Speech, Talent, Creative Wear and African Wear.
