    A new fast food Restaurant, Sub’s Marina is scheduled to begin operations tomorrow, Friday March 26, down at Port Zante, Basseterre on Friday March 26 serving a wide variety of meals according to owners Seymour Liburd and Arlene Nisbett.
     
    Last Wednesday March 17, about 80 people, including the Governor General Cuthbert Sebastian, Deputy Prime Minister Sam Condor and Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports Jacinth Henry-Martin were present at the official opening ceremony and given a grand tour of the building that will serve a diverse menu ranging from Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    the Tourism Product as a small business entity.
     
    “The government has been promoting the idea of small businesses and since 1995 until now, over 500 small businesses have started,” he said.
     
    He also mentioned that small businesses have benefited financially from a sum of $8, 060, 000 from the Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU) to get started and added that efforts are being made to introduce Entrepreneurship in schools.
     
    “By doing so, this will help the development needs of our country and of the young people,” Condor said.
     
    During his speech, Liburd said that the Restaurant was planned for two years.

    “What you see today is the fruits of a culminated and arduous journey of planning and preparation,” he said. “But it can also be viewed as the beginning and realization of a dream.”
     
    He said that the staff of Sub’s Marina have attempted to provide and create for each customer, a range of delectable products in a surrounding ambience that will entice people while they relax and enjoy their meal or even if they’re just dropping in for take-away.
     
    The Restaurant is beautifully decorated with custom-built furniture and state of the art cooking machines and has an employment of 19 staff. Opening hours are from Mondays to Sundays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and closes at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
     
    Breakfast, will be served until 11 a.m. where Croissants, Pancakes, Fruit Salads, French toast

    eggs and ham will be available along with Juices or a Cappuccino Espresso.
     
    Lunch and Dinner includes, Sub Sandwiches with the option of white or wheat bread, Burgers (ham, fish), Chicken (grilled or deep fried), Breaded Fish Fillets, Breaded Shrimps, Vegetable Salads and Mashed Potatoes (home style) and more.
     
    There is also an assortment of Cheesecakes and Ice Cream and Milkshakes available for dessert.
     
    The kid’s meal comes with two options, a drumstick or nuggets with Fries or Mac and Cheese with a drink and toy.

    When asked about the cost range of the food, Liburd said that taking into consideration that even though they are a fast food joint they are still a notch above the average fast food places because of their incorporated local dishes and will act like a restaurant.
     
    “Based on those points I will say our prices are the same as an average restaurant’s prices are,” he said.
