Things heat up at GSS

Coach Michell Sutton surrounded by some of her shot put athletes
By: Curtis Morton, Press Release

CHARLESTOWN Nevis, January 28th 2011 - A visit to the Gingerland Secondary School yesterday revealed that the school has started its sports term in earnest.  The Heats action is heating up as the preliminary rounds in the shot put have started.

Yesterday the boys and girls of two of the second forms matched their skills with the heavy iron ball for the shot-put.

The session was supervised by Coaches Oliver Beazer and Michelle Sutton.

The children were very enthused even though some were obviously not going to make the cut for the final show down in the event.  However, some of them made some very impressive throws.  What was obvious though, was the fact that every single one of them believes that his/her particular house is going to be the champion this year.

From all indications, the GSS annual Sports meet this year is going to be one event that no one would want to miss.

Preliminary scores will be forthcoming on the completion of each individual event.
