BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (February 1st, 2011) – It was an evening filled with much anticipation and excitement compliments of The Bigger, Better Network…Digicel! Hundreds of football enthusiasts and Digicel customers gathered at the Newtown Playing field on January 29th, 2011 to witness the grand giveaway of the 2011 Suzuki Swift, to culminate Digicel’s spectacular “Drive Your Dream” promotion.
Five lucky Digicel customers were randomly selected as finalists for the car giveaway and one-by-one selected keys, hoping that their key would win them the grand prize. However, it was Mr. Hugh Vaughan who possessed the winning key and drove away with the 2011 Suzuki Swift, valued at EC$60,000, in addition to one year FREE insurance from Nagico Insurance Company Limited. It was a joyous moment shared by the hundreds in attendance and the other four finalists, Orlando Sargeant, Florencetine Morton, Teresa Hamilton and Michael Hendrickson. Each one was a winner that night! The four other finalists walked away with a BlackBerry handset with FREE voice and data subscription for one year from Digicel valued at EC$20,000.
The festive atmosphere was felt throughout the entire night as everyone enjoyed the live entertainment from the house dj and Small Axe Band. The MC for the night, Juni Liburd, kept the crowd entertained and lively. No one was left out from experiencing the excitement as even the little children were presented with Digicel-branded footballs and the Digi Girls were enthusiastic about giving free credit to all of our Digicel customers in the crowd. Five fans were chosen on the spot to try their luck at Digicel’s highly anticipated “Kick for Charity”. Unfortunately, no one was fortunate enough to score a goal to win themselves cash; the cash will be donated to a charity of the SKNFA’s choosing.
