BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AFTER creating one of the hottest riddims for 2010 - ‘Evil Walk’ that featured Nicha B’s ‘School Time Lover’ and ‘Beat Pon Me Drum’ by Dymanynd - DJ Rinch is back with his latest riddim, ‘Get Crunk’.
Rajiv Hamilton, popularly known as DJ Rinch, he had released the new riddim at his Birthday Bash held at at the Green Valley Pub on Saturday, January 29.
The riddim features songs from 11 local artistes including Meeshach, C-Money, Nicha B, Footsy, Ashikinaz, Rodney, Shotta Kid and Silk.
“I am also working on getting some foreign artistes to feature tracks on the new riddim to get my work and name out in the music market,” Hamilton said.
Last year, his ‘Evil Walk’ riddim featured a number of the most popular songs out of the Federation and, as a result, it landed some of the local singers’ gigs on a number of concerts.
Hamilton, who is also a radio personality, rose to popularity in 2007 when he produced his first riddim called ‘Ballaz’. It was produced in his home studio which he named Yard Tune Productions Studio. He later added a number of equipment that enhanced the studio as it rapidly became popular along with his name.
After producing a few riddims for local artistes, the Cayon resident decided to venture into singing and is known for tracks such as ‘Gone Clear’, ‘Jump Up Pon De Something’and ‘Just Your Luck’ that features TV.
Hamilton told SKNVibes that he is currently working on producing some more riddims for individual artistes and should be releasing more tracks of his own shortly.
SKNVibes has attached a copy of the riddim sampler medley, which features a verse and chorus from a number of the artistes on the ‘Get Crunk’ riddim.
