CHARLESTOWN Nevis, February 10th 2011 - Cricket action on Nevis bowls off today at four pm at the Ramsbury grounds with a brief opening ceremony which will feature remarks from Nevis’ Cricket chief, Ronald Powell, sponsors and Minister of Sports Hon Hensley Daniel who will also declare the league open.

Immediately after the opening ceremony an exciting match between an Association X1 and the Nevis under 19 team will be played.  Cricket fans are looking forward to see the former Leeward Islands all rounder, Victor Eddy in action, along with Stuart Williams, former test player and the Hon Hensley Daniel was expected to use the new ball.  However, word received yesterday indicates that the Hon Minister is nursing a shoulder injury but may be able to bat.

Cricket fans are urged to show up in their numbers as there may also be some give aways from the main sponsor in store.
