BASSETERRE St.Kitts, February 14th 2011 - This stunning 15 year old beauty, Shanika Joshua, is no stranger to the stage. In the past she has participated in school competitions such as Ms. Gingerland Primary School held in Nevis. Her poise, beauty and most importantly her contagious smile tipped the scales in her favour, as she was successful in placing in the show.
She is presently a 4g1 student, attending the Basseterre High School pursuing eight (8) CXC subjects. Of these eight subjects, Shanika uncovers the passion for the academic challenge in Business Accounting.
Her platform, Education and Recreation are imperative in playing a vital role in a child’s life. This is why Shanika believes strongly in balancing both to create a holistic child.
She is also passionate about reading, dancing, and dramatizing in her spear time. As many young ladies may find their role model in a superstar, Shanika looks up to her mother as her role model and wishes to be nothing but successful just like her.
Shanika’s career goal is to become a Lawyer and looks forward to this as she prepares academically, along with respecting herself on a day to day basis, and living a life which reflects on her school’s motto Principia non Homines ‘Principles not Men’. She is presently a member of an after school program dubbed (EFG) Encouraging Fantastic Girls which encourages and builds self-confidence in young girls. Her personal motto states, “Go confidently in the way of your dreams, live life like you have always imagined,” words which she subsist by every day.
She sees this pageant as an ideal opportunity to showcase her many talents while making a valid contribution to Basseterre High School.
She will like to thank the audience, her family and friends for their support in advance and reminds everyone to be at the show on the 4th March 2011.
