BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN an effort to offset expenses incurred in the purchase of a bus for their church, the Women of Instinct group of the Tabernacle Church of the Nazarene would be holding a special concert on Friday, February 25, 2011.
The group’s president, Predeler Mason, said the concert would be held at the church at 7:00 p.m. and is aimed at raising funds to complete payment for the bus.
“We are trying to raise needed funds to help us in paying off for the church bus,” Mason said.
She stressed that every year they have been hosting concerts to raise needed funds in order to enhance the work of the church.
“Last year we had a similar concert and it was very successful, and we are confident that this year it would be successful also,” she said.
She pointed out that a number of churches are in support of the initiative and have confirmed that they would be participating in the concert.
“There would be singing and modelling, among other events on the 25th, and I am appealing to the public to come out and support us,” she noted.
Mason said Pepper Ranks, Devil Trampler and Minister LK are among those to headline the concert and musical accompaniment would be provided by the church’s band.
She noted that they have confirmed a number of singing, dancing and modelling items, adding that the models would be showcasing their church wear and evening dresses.
Mason said food and drinks would be on sale and that admission for the event is EC$3 for adults and EC$2 for children.
She declared that persons attending are guaranteed an evening of fun and excitement in a Christian environment, adding that she is confident that they would execute a successful concert.
