The People's Action Movement is satisfied with the recommendations of the Commonwealth Observer Assessment Mission. Anything less than the basic recommendations of the Commonwealth Observer Assessment Mission is not acceptable.
We have written to the Government on several occasions pointing out the concerns that the People's Action Movement have with the approach adopted by the Government yet every letter seeking clarification went unanswered.
In short, the People's Action Movement cannot in the interest of transparency and democracy nominate a representative to participate in this committee set up to, at best, rubber stamp the Consultative Committee's recommendations to it.
The People's Action Movement trusts and hopes that civic minded citizens will speak out, now, about the way in which the Government is imposing its version of Electoral Reform before it is too late.
