Sandy Point songbird explores another side of himself

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SANDY POINT singer Collin ‘C-Money’ Wyatt has recently connected with the emotional side of himself, judging from his newly-released mixtape ‘Matters Of The Heart’.

The mixtape was released as a Valentine’s Day treat for fans and to show the versatility of the artiste. It includes five emotional and sentimental tracks: ‘No More’, ’My Baby’, ‘True Love’ ,’Crazy Over You’ and ‘Cinderella’, within which C-Money is heard expressing his true feelings of love and passion.

“I had the mix in mind for some years now but I decided to release it on Valentine’s Day, because it is a day most choose to share the feelings they have for their other halves. But personally it’s the other side of me…my music and my versatility. I wanted to do music that would appeal to another audience and a different market, hence the style of the songs and beats,” C-Money said.

‘Matters Of The Heart’ was recorded at an upcoming studio located in New Road called Musical Hype Entertainment Studio, SKN Studio and Yard Tune Production Studio.

The mixtape also features Silk, another local artiste who is trying to make a name for himself on the ‘Crazy Love’ track, and Busky of the Unstoppable Sound is featured on ‘Cinderella’.

C-Money indicated to SKNVibes that he has big plans for 2011 and is currently working on a number of projects that would soon be available.

He is known for a number of tracks that have grown quite popular in the Federation over the past two years, which include ‘My Wish’ and ‘SK Sweet’.

Although C-Money is a dancehall artiste, in December he dabbled with soca and tried his luck in the Federation’s Soca Monarch competition, where he placed Third Runner-Up with the redone version of ‘SK Sweet’, titled ‘Carnival Sweet’,that featured Rucas of the Grand Masters Band.
