Nominations open for CARICOM Youth Ambassadors

    BRADES, Montserrat (February 28, 2011) – The search is on for two young people to represent Montserrat as a CARICOM Youth Ambassador.

     


    According to Joy Pond of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, youth groups have until Wednesday, March 16 to nominate one male and one female between the ages of 16 – 30 to represent Montserrat in this regional organisation.

     


    A good youth ambassador is honest, and fosters a climate of mutual trust and supports others to reach their highest potential, says the CYA announcement. Nominees must be able to organize and contribute to advocacy and outreach programmes targeted at young people in schools and communities, also be capable of contributing articles on youth to national and regional media.

     


    Nomination Forms are available at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Community Services & Sports.  The deadline for receipt of nominations is Wednesday 16 March 2011.
