BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AS local artistes continue to seek new and innovative ways to gain international attention, a number of them have upped their musical styles and are showing versatility on new tracks.
The most recent artiste to have taken this path is Rajiv ‘DJ Rinch’ Hamilton.
Last week, Hamilton released a track called ‘Well Runs Dry’ in which the dancehall artiste expresses his emotion in an R &B style, which he claims is simply about what happens in relationships.
In the song Hamilton sobs over an issue with his girlfriend. His girlfriend tells him that she is leaving him because she could no longer take his lying and cheating habits, as he begs her to stay.
Like all of his other tracks, this too was penned by him while the beat, ‘Youths Cry’, was produced by De Magician.
Hamilton said he is currently working on his first mixtape titled ‘DJ Rinch Upstairs’ and it should be released in April.
Hamilton is the owner of Yard Tune Production Studio and he has also recently released a riddim called ‘Get Crunk’, which features some of the Federation’s top artistes.
