BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded its second murder for the year with the shooting death of Sean 'Tegroman' Brazier (38) of Pitcairn Street, Newtown.
According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Vaughan Henderson, sometime after 3:00 this morning (Mar. 5), members of the Special Service Unit, Anti-Gang Unit and the Criminal Investigation Department responded to a report of a shooting in Pitcairn Street.
“On arrival at the scene, officers found the lifeless body of Sean Brazier bearing multiple gunshot wounds. The District Medical Officer was summoned and he pronounced him dead on the scene. The Coroner was informed and permission was given for the removal of the body to a funeral home until an autopsy is performed to determine the cause of death,” Henderson said.
He noted that the scene was processed by officers from the Crime Scene Department and a number of items of evidential value were collected and taken into police custody for further analysis
Inspector Henderson also noted that no suspect has so far been held in connection with this incident but investigations are ongoing.
The first murder for the year was that of Devon Morton of Upper Monkey Hill, St. Peters, who died at the JNF Hospital 15 days after he was shot by two masked gunmen in Mc Knight on the night of Monday, January 10.
According to reports, while the 28-year-old was inside a club on Lower Cunningham Street, near to Fort Thomas Road in Mc Knight, two masked gunmen approached and opened fire, hitting Ashley Allers in the shoulder and Morton to the chest, abdomen, thigh and hand. Allers is said to be the proprietor of the club.
To date, no one was arrested and investigations are also ongoing in this incident.
