The announcement was made by Party Leader Hon Vance Amory at a pres briefing at the Red Cross Building in Charlestown on Monday.
According to Mr Amory, Mr Brantley had accepted his Party's invitation to be a member of his team and it was his Party's decision to recruit the very best to represent the people of Nevis.
He thanked Mr Brantley for coming forward and accepting the invitation to become the nominated member of the CCM.
Meantime, Mr Brantley said he had looked from a distance but has been warmly embraced by the CCM and was actively looking forward to playing his limited part in the Nevis Island Assembly in the context of the debates which would happen there.
Mr Brantley regarded his journey into politics now was at a serious time for Nevis which required serious people.

Also present at the press briefing was Deputy Leader Mr Malcolm Guishard, Party Chairman who chaired the event Mr Stedman Tross and Public Relations Officer Mr Keith Scarborough.
