BASSETERRE St. Kitts – At Marriott, success begins with our associates. In keeping with these values the St Kitts Marriott Resort held a celebration event to say “Thank You” to associates for their outstanding performance and significant contributions for 2010. This year’s celebration took the form of a cocktail reception, dinner and dance for all associates. In order to have our associates enjoy the night to the fullest we reversed the roles and had our own Managers take the place of bartenders and wait staff while the Executive Committee members had the additional duties of being the welcoming committee, master of ceremonies and hosts.
Prizes were distributed and raffled amongst the associates during the night.
The climax of the nights was the celebration and the announcements of those associates who won awards for outstanding service delivery throughout 2010.
These awards were divided amongst four groups and with each group having a final winner for the year 2010. These associates were nominated by their managers and peers throughout the year.
• The winner in the Associate of the Year in the Heart of the House category was Mr. Denny Dasent
• The Winner in the Associate of the Year Fornt of the House category was Mr. Arbon Arthurton .
• The winner for Supervisor of the Year was Ms Grace Woodley Food & Beverage Supervisor.
• The Manager of the Year was Mr. Collin Dos Santos, our Manager for Safety and Security.
