BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TOMORROW night (Mar. 11) Ma Pau will come alive with music and patrons partying in a BlackBerry affair dubbed ‘Ping Me’, organised by the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant History Club.
The event is being held as one of the club’s fundraisers as well as their Miss Back 2 Roots Pageant to be held on Saturday (Mar. 12) in which six contestants will be vying for the crown.
According to one of the organisers, they are raising funds to travel to Jamaica to learn about that island's history, heritage and culture. The contingent is scheduled to wing out of St. Kitts on April 9 for a one-week stay on the Caribbean island.
He said they have also planned a bake sale and dinner to continue their fundraising efforts but a decision has not yet been made on the date.
The ‘Ping Me’ party will feature music by TNO Sound and Unstoppable Sound, and BlackBerry patrons would have a special discount price at the door until midnight.
The event will kick off at 9:00 p.m. and, according to the organisers, it would go down until the last BlackBerry pings.
