ROADTOWN Tortola, BVI, March 17th 2011 - Mr. Harrigan who was at the time sitting with friends in the Sticket area in Long Look, was shot at least twice. He is the first murder victim for 2011.

According to police spokesperson, Sergeant Selywn Rock, police officers received a report of the shooting around 7:30 pm, and noted that additional information surrounding the shooting will be known shortly as detectives are still gathering information.

Mr. Harrigan is said to be in his mid 20’s.

His death has raised many questions as in the past two weeks, three other men were shot – two in Purcell Estate and one in Nottingham Estate – and in both instances the men were shot multiple times.
