A new hot spot at the Frigate Bay Strip
BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March 17th 2011 – ARE you looking for the perfect spot to just chill, have a drink, dine and still be entertained? Then Family and Friends Bar and Lounge, located at the Frigate Bay Strip, is the ideal spot to meet those needs.
In a nice, cozy and breezy atmosphere, Family and Friends is opened to the public seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. until the last person leaves. The establishment is fully equipped with a bar and dining area that offers a menu with everything from finger foods to main course meals.
The establishment, which was located at the Sands Complex, is owned by Clayton ‘Massive’ Thomas, who said that the previous venue was not generating the type of service he wanted to provide and that the new location is more appealing and popular for entertainment and night life.
Thomas said the spacious venue also has its own restroom which is lacking at most of the other bars on the Strip. He said Family and Friends also provides free internet access and could be booked for private parties and baby showers among other events.
The wooden-structured establishment has a deck to the front with chairs that can be used to sip on a drink on the outside or to simply sit and enjoy the music.
“Even though the lounge is located on the beach it still has that nice social gathering, and that is the type of atmosphere we are trying to build,” Thomas said.
The owner also indicated that there is a nightly DJ and live bands every Friday while Thursdays are dubbed ‘Oldies Night’ to create a mature setting for patrons 30 years and older.
Although some people might refer to it as ‘De Crab Hole’, Family and Friends Bar and Lounge is the only unique spot of its kind on the Frigate Bay Strip. It is fully equipped with a trained staff to cater to the comfort and needs of all patrons.
Family and Friends Bar and Lounge is the second bar when entering the Strip from the first entrance on the Frigate Bay Road.
Tomorrow (Mar.18) will feature live entertainment from the Small Axe Band.
