BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March 18th 2011 - At the recently concluded CARIFTA Trials held in ST. Kitts on Sunday 13th March, the Gladiators Track Club of Nevis once again proved that they are a Premier Junior Track and Field Club.
Despite the fact that they were unable to field an entire team, their performance on the day was nothing short of outstanding. Led by CARIFTA gold medallist Adrian Williams the Club dominated the Field Events and had an equally stellar performance on the Track.
When the dust cleared the Gladiators Track Club had amassed 14 medals- 7 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze. The exceptional performance was as follows :
Under 17 Boys
• Adrian Williams –Javelin (gold), Long Jump (gold)
• Collin Archibald – Shotput (gold)
Under 17 Girls
• Iyana Dore – Javelin (gold), Shotput (bronze)
• Marlencia Hanley – Javelin (silver)
• Renika Daniel – 400m (gold)
Under 20 Boys
• Javid Stapleton – 800m (silver)
• Terron Lawrence – 800m (bronze)
• Kashka Forbes – 1500m (gold)
• Trevorne Nisbett – 400m (bronze)
Under 20 Girls
• Anisha Douglas – Discus (silver), Shotput (silver)
• Keresha Powell – Javelin (gold)
