BASSETERRE St. Kitts, March 31st 2011 (CUOPM) - The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is requesting bids for rehabilitation work on the Campus of the Cayon High School.
 

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Osmond Petty said the work includes demolition and reconstruction of an 800-square foot verandah floor and roof of a 2-storey steel – framed building.

 
“The floor is of reinforced concrete construction on metal decking. The roof is sheeted with corrugated steel panels. Wood doors and metal windows will also be replaced and the building will be repainted. Refurbishment of floor and walls of an existing wood-framed, single-storey building measuring approximately 31 feet by 83 feet,” Petty disclosed.

 
He said interested bidders may obtain further information, including minimum qualification data required, on line at http://moeskn.org or free of cost from the Ministry of Education, Education Planning Division, Project Management Unit, Lockhart Street, Basseterre, St. Kitts (Telephone:  869-467-1325   Fax: 869-(466-3819).
 

Bidding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased from the Ministry of Education at the address given above for a non refundable fee of EC$350 or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency, for each set.
 

Mr. Petty said documents will be available from Monday, April 11, 2011. 
 

Bidders will be required to submit full qualification information with their bids.
 

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of EC $10,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, and shall be delivered to Mr. Osmond Petty, Permanent Secretary, at the office noted above on or before 2:30 pm on Monday May 23, 2011. Bids will be opened at this same location in the presence of those bidders who choose to attend at 3:00 pm that very day.
