BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A 33-year-old man was wounded tonight (Apr. 8) in a drive-by shooting incident in Conaree Village that has left him in a serious but stable condition in the JNF Hospital.

Reports reaching SKNVibes state that Donnie Isaac of Conaree was shot multiple times to the body while walking on a road in that village in the vicinity of the Community Centre.

According to the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Vaughan Henderson, at approximately 9:25 p.m. police received a report of a shooting in the Conaree Village area and officers from the Criminal Investigation department and the Special Services Unit responded immediately.

“When the officers arrived at the scene, investigations revealed that Donnie Isaac of Conaree was walking on a road alongside the Community Centre when an armed assailant in a motorcar drove up and shot him multiple times to the body.

“Isaac was transported to the JNF Hospital in a privately-owned car and is presently receiving emergency medical treatment. He is in a serious but stable condition. There are no suspects at this time but investigations are ongoing,” Henderson said.

He also said that officers of the Crime Scene Department had processed the scene and a number of items of evidential value were collected and taken into police custody for further analysis.
