BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AUTOPSIES performed on the bodies of three of the four persons killed in St. Kitts and Nevis over a six-day period revealed that two died from gunshot injuries and one from head injury.

According to a police press release, the autopsies were performed on the bodies of Unique Browne, Bijorn Richardson and Laustin ‘Jamie’ Williams at the JNF Hospital Mortuary by Barbadian Forensic Pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones on Friday, April 8, 2011.

Browne’s reportedly died as a result of traumatic head injury, while Richardson died as a result of gunshot injuries to the neck and chest with haemorrhage and shock and cervical spinal injury; and Williams’ cause of death was as a result of gunshot injuries to the head, chest and abdomen with haemorrhage and shock.

The lifeless body of the partly nude 15-year-old Browne was discovered shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday (Apr. 3) lying on the eastern side of the building that houses Eustace Hobson & Associates in the C.A. Paul Southwell Industrial Site area.

At the time of discovery, her body bore signs of violence, as blood was seen on the head and shoulders. Those marks of violence, as stated by a source close to the police, might have been inflicted with a heavy blunt object.

SKNVibes was reliably informed that Browne was seen Saturday (Apr. 2) at Mension’s ‘Earthday Bash’ held at Club Kactus, but the source claimed they did not see when she left the party.

Richardson (26) of Wellington Road and an employee of the Parks and Beaches Unit was killed on Monday (Apr. 4) while working in Dorset Park, Soho Village, Basseterre.

According to reports, while Richardson was weeding grass within the Park, a masked gunman entered from the northern gate and shot him multiple times to the body.

Two days later, Williams, the son of Commissioner of Police Austin Williams and his wife Laura of bay View Gardens, was killed while in an abandoned yard in Buckley’s Estate.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime, Ian Queeley, investigations revealed that Williams was in an abandoned yard with a group of individuals when an unknown gunman appeared and opened fire on the 27-year-old, hitting him multiple times to the body.

Inspector Henderson informed that “investigations are ongoing in all of these matters”.
