Cable & Wireless has confirmed that none of the Dell Laptops sold by the Company are part of the Dell battery recall programme which was announced several days ago. Dell issued a recall on battery packs for certain laptop models. The model list did not include the Dell Inspiron 2200 or 1300 laptops sold by Cable & Wireless. "Our partnership with Dell has been hugely successful. The Dell Account Team was quick to reassure us that our customers were not affected by the recall," said Bob Williams, VP Customer Services. "Our customers are familiar with the Dell brand which is famous for delivering innovative technology and services. We believe this partnership is key to offering our customers affordable, quality solutions for Internet access." Cable & Wireless has been selling Dell computers since September 2001 as part of its commitment to make the Internet more easily accessible to all. The Dell Inspiron 1300 Laptop is being sold as part of the Company's current Back to School offer.
