One hospitalised in Mansion traffic accident

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are investigating a traffic accident that occurred last night (Apr. 24) in Mansion Village which left one man with cuts and bruises and another warded at the JNF Hospital.

     

    According to a police press release, the accident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. and had involved motor jeep P254, owned and driven by Alexander Tyson of Cayon, and motorcar PA3424, owned and driven by Imran Bacchus of Lodge Village.

     

    The release stated while that the motor jeep was travelling from Cayon towards Tabernacle and the motorcar from the opposite direction, they collided on the Island Main Road in the vicinity of Mansion’s playfield.

     

    “Both vehicles were extensively damaged. Jamore Shaben, who was a front seat passenger in PA3424, sustained injuries - cuts and bruises – and was taken to the JNF Hospital by the Emergency Medical Services where he was treated for his injuries and detained at the Surgical Ward for observation.

     

    “The driver of PA3424 also sustained minor injuries – cuts and bruises – and was taken to the Mary Charles Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and discharged,” the release read.

     

    It further stated that the scene was processed and measurements and explanations were recorded, as investigations are ongoing.
