BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TEENAGERS in the Federation are expected to gather at Carnival Village tomorrow (Apr. 29) for the first ever Teen Splash Music Fest; a production by Island Soul Entertainment in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment.
The gates to the event will open at 7:00 p.m. to performances by a large number of local artistes including Nicha B, Rolhensha, Simba, Pinocchio, DJ Rinch, C-Money, Ras Kahled, Dejour, Silk, Footsy, Hi Light, Ashkenaz, Hotta Lyric and Meeshach.
Music will also be in abundance by TNO Sounds, Unstoppable Sound, Sweet Sister Sensia along with the Kollision Band.
According to Cheddi Bradshaw of Island Soul Entertainment, the highly-anticipated event would take the form of a music festival for teens.
He said Teen Splash is described as the last jam before exams and offers a safe environment for youths to socialise and enjoy entertainment by their peers.
Bradshaw stressed that Island Soul Entertainment, which is also the brainchild of Clash of the High Schools, consistently finds avenues to empower youths through the arts.
Carnival Village was filled to capacity for the annual Clash of the High Schools held in November 2010, and Bradshaw said he is anticipating an even larger turnout on Friday night as the promotions have created a heavy buzz in the schools and on the popular networking site FaceBook.
Tickets for the event are being sold at each high school around St. Kitts.
