The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is requesting the Public's assistance in the investigation of a firearm related incident that occurred on 28th August 2006. At approximately 10:20 p.m. officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the LaGuerite area.
There, officers discovered twenty-four (24) year old Vincent Gray alias "Fatman" of Fry's Village, laying on his side with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and back. He was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem will be carried out at a later date to determine the exact cause of death.

At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 28th August 2006, Leon Samuel of Ponds Pasture, Basseterre who was charged with the offence of "House Breaking With Intent" committed on 29-06-06 was committed to stand trial at the January 2007 Criminal Assizes.
Also at the same court, Edile Palmer of College Street, Basseterre who was charged with the offence of Unlawful Possession committed on 27-08-06 was convicted and sentenced to serve eighty (80) hours of community service at the Stapleton Police Station and to report to the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 25-09-06.
