KINGSTON, Jamaica, May 3rd 2011 - LIME, the region’s only full service telecommunications provider, will serve up a special ‘brew’ of fun and entertainment for the over one hundred and eighty delegates attending the golden jubilee celebration of the Annual Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA) Caribbean Convention at the Ritz Carlton in Montego Bay beginning today (Wednesday May 4th).
According to Grace Silvera, Regional V.P Marketing and Communications for LIME, “This convention is good for tourism and also good for Jamaica. LIME has been around for 140 years while the MBAA has been around for 50 years, so our telecommunications network has been the backbone of their industry.”
In saluting the association for this milestone and their contribution to the development the region, LIME has contributed almost $500,000.00 to the staging of the event.
Quite fittingly, the very first convention was held in Jamaica and the convention is rotated around the islands of the Caribbean. LIME sponsored the 2009 event staged in Barbados, however, this year the telecoms provider will stir things up a bit by ensuring that delegates enjoy some of the best entertainment Jamaica has to offer.
An evening of rich cultural entertainment will be staged at the historic Belfield Great House featuring the Blue Glaze Mento Band and the multi-award winning group, Dance Expressions.
