Kiwanis adopts Victoria Road Pre-School

Kiwanis Liamuiga Press Release

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May5th 2011 - On April 30th 2011, the Kiwanis Club of Liamuiga officially adopted the Victoria Road Pre-school as they seek to continue their commitment to serve the children of the communities of St Kitts and Nevis.
     

     

    It was during the 2nd Divisional Council Meeting of Division 27 that the local club led phase one of the adoption and beautification of the Victoria Road Pre-school.  Undertaking this project were host club Kiwanis club of Liamuiga and fellow members of Division 27 with delegates representing the Kiwanis club of St. John’s Antigua; Kiwanis club of Waitukubuli Dominica;

     


    Kiwanis Le Flamboyant,  Kiwanis Club de Fort de France, Club Soleil, Coeur de Creole of Martinique; Pride of Barbados and Barbados – North. The mission was overseen by the Division’s Lieutenant Governor Louis Sealey of Barbados.

     


    During this project, ornamentals were planted by visiting and local Kiwanians.  Students also proved themselves willing and able in the digging, placing and watering of plants.  Toys and monetary contributions were also made by the clubs present.  On hand to facilitate the project were teachers Canecia Warner and Diane Mc. Sheen.
     

     

    Kiwanians reaffirmed their commitment to serving the Victoria Road Pre- School as they endeavour to uplift, encourage and foster continuous relationships with students and staff.  Phase two of the project (painting of the school) will become a reality in the near future.
