    Anthea Earle-Farier
Basseterre, St. Kitts (March 30, 2004):
A popular feature of the Easter-Rama will return this year thanks to the determined efforts of a Sandy Point community member, businesses and the parliamentary representative.

Anthea Earle-Farier, owner of ‘Anthea’s Mas Makers’ disclosed that she was informed by the organiser of the community festival Mr. Greg Mills that the Crab Hill Sports Club will be unable to organise the parade  of troupes competition, this year . “I was very disappointed,” she admitted.

However Ms. Earle-Farier, who already have received commitments from sponsors, said she is resolved to host the parade despite the lack of support from the festival organisers. “I feel that if I don’t submit a troupe on parade day the people of Sandy Point won’t be happy because that is one of the main activities that people come down to Sandy Point (during the Easter -Rama). I strongly believe that Sandy Point deserves better,” she stressed.

Minister of Culture and parliamentary representative for the area Hon. Jacinth Henry-Martin agrees. She indicated her continued support for Easter-Rama and reassured the mas maker of assistance.
“Over the past six years, the Parliamentary Representative for Constituency #5 Hon. Jacinth Henry-Martin has been a major sponsor,” Earle Farier revealed adding the Du Pont Jewelers have also been a major sponsor.

She expressed gratitude to the abovementioned and also commended additional sponsors noting that her troupe which has been the only participating mas troupe at Easter-Rama for the past four years will be out celebrating the community spirit on April 12 as planned.
