BASSETERRE, St.Kitts May 6th, 2011 - The St. Kitts Music Festival Local Promotions Committee (SKMFLPC) announces that it has put together an official calendar of activities and is working hard to promote and ensure that there are activities for everyone to enjoy.  The 15th annual St. Kitts Music Festival will be staged June 23rd-25th at Warner Park.

Such promotional activities leading up to the annual extravaganza include:

- A three- round DJ sound clash
- Several block parties
- Bar hopping

The main objectives of the St. Kitts Music Festival Local Promotions Committee are:

• To engage the public in exciting, fun-filled activities leading up to the St. Kitts Music Festival.
• To create an early atmosphere of hype and interest among nationals, residents and visitors.
• To contribute to the entertainment life on the island, centered around one of the biggest tourism products in the twin-island Federation.
• To enhance the longevity of the St. Kitts Music Festival each year by stimulating and maintaining the interest of the much looked forward to Music Festival.
   

The 2011 team of the St.Kitts Music Festival Local Promotions Committee has indeed created a buzz by introducing a few firsts. These are:

• The first St.Kitts Music Festival local promotions calendar of events
• The first to introduce St.Kitts Music Festival Girls
•  
The first St.Kitts Music Festival DJ sound clash
  

Ultimately, the objectives of this committee are to ensure that the St Kitts Music Festival is a success and that the goals of The Mission Statement of the St. Kitts Music Festival are met.

‘To establish a world renowned (annual) festival of different genres of music, that would attract broad based international participation, expose artistic excellence and promote St Kitts and Nevis as a major tourist destination,’ the Mission Statement reads.
