DJs ready to clash it out for St. Kitts Music Festival contest tonight

    BASSETERRE, St.Kitts, May 13th 2011 - Tonight, six popular DJ sound systems will compete in the first ever St.Kitts Music Festival DJ Sound Clash.

     


    The first session, of this three round competition, takes place at Pon De Edge in Sandy Point at 8 p.m.

     


    The DJs vying for the title are: Black Panther Sound, Black Stone Sound, Chalice Sound, Unstoppable Sound, DJ Woodis and Freedom Sound.

     

     
    In accordance with the DJ Sound Clash Event Coordinator of the St. Kitts Music Festival Local Promotions Committee, Diego Spanner, “The purpose of the St.Kitts Music Festival DJ Clash is to promote the art of music through the display of skills by DJs from around the Federation.”
     

     

    The First place successor will pocket EC$3000, a trophy, one (1) season pass and 2 season tickets.
     

     

    In addition, the winning DJ will earn the bragging rights to be called the First St. Kitts Music Festival DJ and will, also, get  a 20-30 minute performance on the Saturday night of the upcoming 15th annual St. Kitts Music Festival.
     

     

    The second place winner will receive EC$1000 Trophy, one (1) season pass and one (1) season ticket.
     

     

    DJs who do not place will receive a consolation prize.
     

     

    This is event is the first of many local promotional events leading up to the  15th Annual St.Kitts Music Festival  which takes place at Warner Park (June 23-25).

     


    Round 2 of this DJ Sound Clash competition will take place on May 21st 2011 at De Green Valley Pub and the final round at the Carnival Village on June 4th 2011.
