BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN early morning traffic accident on Taylors Range has resulted in three individuals seeking treatment at the JNF Hospital and two vehicles sustaining major damage.

According to Sergeant (SGT) Calvin Amory of the Traffic Department, at approximately 8:10 this morning (May 18), an accident involving omnibus HA 166 and an SUV (PA 6768) occurred on Taylors Range in the vicinity of the Girls Guide.

SGT Amory said preliminary investigations revealed that the omnibus, which was driven by Shawn Crossley, was travelling west along Taylors Range when it collided with the SUV that was travelling in the opposite direction.

He explained that the SUV, driven by Karim Morton of Hummingbird Development, had made a right turn into East Park Range when the two vehicles collided.

“An ambulance was summoned to the scene and three passengers of the omnibus were taken to the JNF Hospital. However, at this time, we cannot say how serious their injuries are,” Amory added.

He also explained that “the left front portion of PA 6768 was badly damaged and so was the entire front portion of HA 166”.

The Traffic SGT noted that measurements and explanations were recorded by police at the scene, and investigations were ongoing.
