By: Jenise Ferlance, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Immaculate Conception Catholic School (ICCS) will be hosting its first Annual Grand Dinner and Auction on Saturday, May 28.

The fundraising event will be held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort Ballroom from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Head of the ICCS Dr. Patricia Hensley said that the school would be auctioning a number of things, including jewellery, paintings, dinner vouchers, weekend vacation packages, photography packages, furniture and electronics.

She told SKNVibes that the money raised from the auction would be used to facilitate laboratory equipment and students who could not afford to attend school.

“We have students who do not have the money to attend the school but we let them attend. We have a fund, and that money that we are going to try and achieve will go into that fund which will go towards students who cannot financially afford to attend our school.

“The money will also help us to fund some of the laboratory costs. We are in the process of building three labs – Biology, Chemistry and Computer. We are going to have all new equipments in the labs, and the money from the auction will also be put towards the purchasing of those equipment,” Hensley explained.

The dinner will be buffet style and tickets are EC$150. Tickets can be purchased at the school which is located at West Independence Square Street, and Harper’s Office Depot on the corner of Fort and Princes Street.
